I'm still not entirely sure why I torture myself with this microsoft garbage...
Think I've wasted 4 or 5 hours of my life today dicking with attempting to get SQLServer2k5 SSE installed. Every install gives me the same freakin error, unable to start the service!! WTF?!?!
Hmm, never used SQL, the managers of my org have though, tried googling the error?
ReplyDeleteYeah, seems like the solution has been add a new user account and try installing again.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to delete all of the directories associated with msSQL, run regseeker and removed all traces of it, rebooted then added new user. No dice on that though.
Customer is getting pissed. One of our guys went out of town on Vacation and left this guy hanging. Shits been broke for 3 weeks now.
